Thomas Bent founded Bent Electrical Contractors in 1979. Since then, the company has grown into one of New England’s leading full-service electrical contractors, equipped to handle a wide range of electrical projects and service needs. We place a strong emphasis on building lasting relationships with our clients and have earned a reputation for quality workmanship, integrity, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Bent Electrical Contractors is a union contractor, employing members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 103. We also operate a fleet of fully equipped service vehicles, allowing our team to respond quickly—24 hours a day, 7 days a week—for maintenance needs and emergency service calls.

Leadership Team
Vincent S. Albano
Over more than three decades, Vincent has successfully managed complex, fast-track construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. He was promoted to Vice President in 2017 and became President in 2024, continuing to lead the company with a focus on quality, safety, and long-term client relationships. Throughout his career, he has overseen field operations, managed project teams, and coordinated with owners, general contractors, and suppliers, with a leadership approach centered on accountability, clear communication, and consistent execution.
Ernest W. Jankowski
Ernie is responsible for interpreting financial results and providing recommendations to leadership to support strategic decision-making. He manages key relationships across banking, insurance, IT, and external auditors, and ensures the company is well positioned for efficient annual audits.
In addition to finance, he oversees IT and human resources functions and has established company-wide procedures for estimating, billing, change orders, and safety. His focus on systems, controls, and performance metrics helps maintain strong financial discipline and operational efficiency across the organization.

Bent Electrical Contractors is a long-standing and respected member of numerous industry, business, and community organizations. These include the Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts, the National Electrical Contractors Association, the National Fire Protection Association, and the Somerville Chamber of Commerce.
Tom Bent also serves as the Mayor of Somerville’s representative on the Boston Metropolitan Planning Organization, where he helps provide local leadership input into the planning and distribution of federal transportation funding. In addition, Tom serves as Chair of the Somerville High School Center for Technical Education. Sam Quaratiello, one of our foremen and a graduate of Somerville High School, serves as Chair of the school’s Electrical Program.
