Bent Electrical Contractors completed the lighting and electrical upgrade at the HU Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory Library. The project focused on modernizing the existing electrical infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted operations within an active research environment.
Scope of work included removal of outdated lighting systems, installation of new energy-efficient LED fixtures, upgraded lighting controls, and improvements to branch circuitry to support current code requirements and long-term reliability. Work was carefully coordinated to protect sensitive equipment and preserve the integrity of the library’s collections and research spaces.
